Helmets Optional is our follow-up to the Short Bus. We made a concerted effort to feature multiple vocal layers & more complex harmonies than with previous efforts.  Listen to "Cannonball" or "Don't Lose Your Mind" and you'll see what we mean.  Gingers vocal work on "3 Little Words" & "Stormy" is quite good, highlighting her ability to create rich harmonies. You can check out the reviews of these songs on the home page.

The Short Bus is the first CD we recorded in our very own studio, so there was a bit of a technological learning curve to getting everything just right.  The vocal production is a bit raw, and has more of a live feel, which a lot of people like. You can check out reviews on the home page. Songs range from Ginger's etheral vocals on "Sirens" and "The Hill", to her more rock voice on "How Dare You"; Paul's range from angst on "Round and Round", to quirky on
"Hula Hoop"   (which when heard in its entirity is extremely catchy!)

Check out these songs, which are demo versions of tunes destined for the next Saratoga Park CD.  We have no name for it yet, but we are liking the direction.  Stay tuned for more samples to show up in this same place, and if you have any comments, please feel free to let us know what you'e thinking.  As always, if you like what you hear, please tell a friend, we'd appreciate it.... A whole lot!

Caffeine
This is a song about getting an unintentional caffeine buzz late at night. Check out some reviews on the home page.

Dead Rising
I had this really happy bit of music and had just finished watching the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" for the umpteenth time. I loved the oddity of that snappy, lounge lizard redo of "Down with the Sickness", and decided to give my happy dappy tune a comically dark take on becoming a zombie.

The End
My answer to the question of: Will we ever hang up the hope of finding a wider audience for our music?  In short, NOT BLOODY LIKELY!

Just Sing
A message for anyone with talent but not enough faith in themselves!

Just by Believing
We actually wrote this song to submit to this year's American Idol Songwriter Challenge.  You see, we thought they finally came to the realization that each year that final song they commission is usually way too safe, boring and predictable, explaining the contest.  Granted, there were over 25,000 entries into that contest, but we certainly thought they'd pick something other than the same old drivel...You can check out some of our reviews on the home page!

the Competition
Nobody is ever as happy for your fortunes as they want you to imagine.  Deep inside, we are all blessed with a jealous streak a mile wide!

And listen to these 3 great songs written and sung by Jerry Best ( Ginger's dad), produced by Paul at Parkside Studio in Vancouver, WA. Jerry has a beautiful tenor voice. His songs are reminiscent of Chris Isaak and Roy Orbison. Paul supplied all the musical accompanment, except for main rhythm guitar, played by Jerry Best.
